If your home is a puppy, it is easy to control. It is recommended that you go to the pet store to take a bath, cut your nails, and squeeze your anal glands every month. But if you can wash at home, you should wash at home.
It is not difficult to bathe the dog at home. Just remember these five steps: comb, wash, rub, dry and blow dry.

Step1: It is easier to comb the hair before bathing
Before bathing, comb the dog’s hair knot, otherwise it will be difficult to open the knot after getting wet. Be careful when opening the knot. Use a comb as an assistant. Start with the tail of the dog’s hair, comb the hair knot and then comb the hair root! If the knot is hard to open, it will be very painful. In the future, the dog may refuse to let you comb your hair. When you comb your hair, you can also check the dog’s skin condition to see if there is any redness or bumps. This is also a daily inspection.
Step2: Rinse slowly to make the dog adapt to flushing
If the dog is taking a bath at home for the first time, it is recommended to use a basin with a little water in it, which is almost to the dog’s waist, so that the dog will not be afraid to stand in. Then use a water cup, slowly scoop water and let the dog pour it out, so that it can adapt slowly. When a dog takes a bath for the first time, it must take time to adapt. Many puppies were frightened when they took a bath for the first time, and then they ran out of sight as soon as they heard of it.
When washing dogs with water, the water pressure of the nozzle should not be too high. Then start with the paws, slowly move to the body, and then to the head. It should be noted that the head is washed too hard, and it is easy to get water. The owner can cover the dog’s eyes with his hands, or use a water cup to scoop and wash, to avoid water from irritating the dog’s eyes.
Step3: Rub the bath gel for the dog
Choose the right shower gel. We can be wild in this step. Rub directly from the dog’s back to make foam. Then slowly apply it to the neck, then the shoulders, stomach, and finally the tail. If your dog is sensitive, be careful when rubbing your paws. Finally, slowly rub your head slowly. If you want to make the shower gel bubble faster, you can buy a pair of ordinary sponge gloves. The bubble is very fast.
After rubbing, rinse clean as in the previous step. When washing, pay more attention to the underarm part of the dog. This part is easy to be washed, and the residual shower gel causes the dog’s skin to itch. Remember, the dog’s armpit must be rinsed several times.
Step4: Dry the dog with a big towel
Prepare a large towel to wrap the dog, preferably a absorbent towel, and then dry it by pressing to absorb the water on the dog as soon as possible. Ears should be rubbed several times, which is easy to cause water accumulation and inflammation. Wrap a towel to prevent dogs from catching cold, and absorb most of the water, which can reduce the time of hair drying. After all, some dogs really do not like hair drying.
Step5: Be sure to blow dry the dog’s hair
I think many owners blow their dogs for the first time, and the hair dryer is very close. Try yourself to see how uncomfortable it is? The hair dryer should be about 30cm away from the dog’s skin, and then it should be adjusted to the level of slightly hot air to avoid the dogs from getting used to overheating! If it is a big dog, use the hair dryer directly. Be sure to blow dry, or you will easily get skin disease if you are wet. If you go to the pet store to take a bath, you must check whether the dog has been dried before taking it home. The clerk may not check it. The owner can do it himself.
